Macy'S Parade Route 2024 Route. Volunteer balloon handlers in rain ponchos prepared to start the annual macy’s thanksgiving day parade. It began in 1924, but there were some instances in which the parade wasn't held.

The parade begins at west 77 th street and central park west, following a winding 2.5 mile path to macy’s flagship store in herald square. Along the way, the parade marched by radio city music hall and rockefeller center.
